Like any medication, this antibiotic can cause nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea or an allergic rash. In addition this chlamydia treatment can (rarely) cause liver damage or blood clotting disorders.

You shouldn't request this treatment if you're allergic to azithromycin. You shouldn't request this treatment without a face to face consultation if you're pregnant, breast-feeding, or you suffer from liver or kidney disease. Chlamydia treatment - sex after treatment

You must refrain from having unprotected (no condom) sex for at least seven days after you have completed this course of chlamydia treatment.
