This service is only for people who already know that they or a sexual partner have chlamydia. This service is confidential and lets you get the chlamydia treatment you need without leaving home. No fuss, no embarrassment.

Chlamydia treatment - how the service works

Register online and fill in the questionnaire. If it's safe to do so, one of our doctors will then send you the treatment. We'll normally dispatch your treatment next working day. You'll need to sign for it when it arrives.

Chlamydia treatment - how to take the medicine

You need to take this treatment every day for seven days. We also offer a separate chlamydia treatment that is taken as a single dose. Both treatment options are as effective as each other.

Chlamydia treatment - side-effects

Like any medication, this antibiotic can cause nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea or an allergic rash. In addition this chlamydia treatment can (rarely) cause liver damage or blood clotting disorders. This seven day course of treatment is known to increase the skin's sensitivity to bright sunlight.

Chlamydia treatment - who should not take it

You shouldn't request this treatment if you're allergic to doxycycline. You shouldn't request this treatment without a face to face consultation if you're pregnant, breast-feeding, or you suffer from liver or kidney disease.

Chlamydia treatment - sex after treatment

You must refrain from having unprotected (no condom) sex for at least seven days after you have completed this course of chlamydia treatment.
